If you’re a gaming or Excel nerd, you’ll appreciate Samsung’s new 49-inch ultra wide monitor.

The Samsung CHG90 “super ultrawide” monitor has a display resolution of 3840 x 1080, with its QLED Quantum Dot technology, support for HDR10 content, and has a 1-millisecond response time and 144Hz refresh rate. There is also support for AMD’s FreeSync 2.

We have to hand it to Samsung that that’s pretty massive. With newer games like Battlefield 1 offering support for these crazy resolutions, your gaming experience should be way more cinematic, even though you’ll really only be able to enjoy it at a 1080p resolution (superwide?) equivalent.

I imagine if you love Excel, this could work out pretty well if you have to do a lot of horizontal scrolling.

Samsung also has its own software which can split the screen in to as many as 6 individual units, allowing you to maximize as much space as possible.

The CHG90 has a DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, and three USB 3.0 ports. It should retail for $1,499, but if you’re looking to save some bucks, you can go with the smaller 32-inch CHG70 for $699.
