Android N gets a name: Nougat

It’s official boys and girls, the next installment of Android will be called Nougat.

The decision came after Google took suggestions via their Help name Android N website. It turns out that Nutella was actually the preferred choice, but maybe branding issues came in the way.

Just in case you didn’t know how to pronounce nougat, here’s a little demonstration video.

Even though Android Nougat won’t go live until later into the year, check out some of the cool features expected to come in the next installment.
