You can pre-order your gold-plated iPhone X starting at $7,495, with the top model costing $70k

With the iPhone X and 8 set to be announced on the 12th, iPhone accessory manufacturers are already busy at work putting the final touches on their cases and other gadgets.

One of those companies is Brikk. They have already begun taking pre-orders for gold-plated iPhone X models.

Unlike most others though, they are not selling just a case, but rather an actual 512GB iPhone X phone, plated in either solid gold, rose gold, or platinum, depending on your choice.

There are a few different options including the Mono range, with prices starting from $7,495. The Classic line starts just short of 10k, while the Deluxe line ranges anywhere from 12k-21k. The different ranges offer various design patterns and additions such as red beryl, meteorite stones, or diamonds.

Going all the way to the top of the range, you can get the Lux iPhone X Ingot 250 for a cool $69,995, featuring 250 grams of 22k yellow gold.

Shipments will be sent out between November and January, depending on which model you purchase. There is even personal delivery service if you live in the United States, United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong, Macau, or Singapore. They also offer on-site repair services if you live in those countries.

So if you have a lot of money to blow and a really high credit card limit, why not?

Here’s the kicker. The actual gold value of the close to $70k Ingot 250 model hovers somewhere around $9,760 (based on today’s gold value). Add in the cost of alleged 512GB model (let’s say $1,200 to $1,500), and now we have to wonder what the additional (close to) $60k is going towards. Manufacturing? Uhhhhh.
