While most of us are complaining about checking it our bags onto flights, an Aussie man decided to have a little fun and check in a single can of beer on his flight home.

Doing it for the kicks, Dean Stinson checked in a single can of Emu Export lager on a Qantas flight from Melbourne to Perth.

Oddly enough, the baggage handlers didn’t smash it to pieces or crack it open with the boys in the cargo hold as the beer made it safely across the country intact.

When asked about whether he thought the beer would survive the trip, he said:

There was no luggage out yet but everyone was milling around and had their phones out so I was pretty sure I knew what was going on.

Sure enough there she was, alone on the carousel proudly making her way around. And there I was in my flanno and RMs to greet her. It was perfection.

I half expected to find it empty, but if it didn’t turn up I’d have filed a lost luggage report.

Even thought Qantas allowed him to check in the beverage, they discouraged other passengers from trying a similar stunt.
