This woman photoshops her way to a free trip

Here’s something you don’t see happening everyday.

Kenyan woman, Sevelyn Gat, always wanted to go on vacation in China but could not do so because of her lack of funding. A regular person may have attempted to do something like enter a Facebook or Twitter contest, but Gat decided her next best option would simply be cropping herself into random travel photos across China and posting it to her Facebook page.

While she didn’t have any further intentions beyond posting them to her account, the Internet got wind of the not-so-fantastic photoshops and contributed their own renditions under the tag #WhereIsSeveGatsNow.

The hashtag raised so much attention that businessman, Sam Gichuru, was dared by friends to sponsor her trip. After giving in, he was able to raise enough cash to land her that dream vacation to China, inclusive of a rough-trip flight, 4-star accommodations, and spending money. Below you can see Sevelyn looking extremely happy after Sam was done arranging her travel plans. She was also very grateful to the online community for bringing so much unexpected attention to her photos and travel interests.

It’s funny how it all went down, but still refreshing to hear that against all the odds, someone came through for her to make her dream a reality.

With that being said, let’s get to the best that the Internet has to offer.
