Android Authority has secured photos of what they believe is an accurate representation of the next Google Pixel “XL” device.

It’s unclear as to what Google plans to call this second generation model, but they are definitely going with the taller and slimmer profile similar to that on the Samsung S8, LG G6, and upcoming iPhone 8.

Google is once again partnering with LG to develop their next generation Pixel device. LG previously developed three Nexus devices: the Nexus 4, 5, and 5X.

Based on the provided image, the next Pixel features very similar design hints from the first model with a glass and metal back combo with rounded edges on the back. The fingerprint reader however is placed below the glass, most likely for easier reach given its taller design. The glass top-half is noticeably shorter as well, which could also be why the fingerprint sensor was placed below it.

The front side features a 6-inch AMOLED screen, with a 2:1 ratio and almost edge to edge display with minimal bezel. Unlike some of its competitors, it won’t feature rounded edges on the screen itself, but rather the phone’s bezel will be more rounded to give that 3D effect, even with a flat display screen.

There is also a very wide speaker grille to the top (versus that on the current Pixel XL) and may act as both a call and general speaker, besides the main speaker at the bottom of the phone.

Besides this, there is no real information otherwise beyond the older spec information from XDA Developers. The handset will allegedly come with a Snapdragon 835 processor running at 2.45GHz, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. There are no details as to what other storage options will be offered just yet.

There will also be the ability to squeeze the phone to interact with it, a feature more commonly associated with the HTC U11.
