Pokémon GO is getting people into the sunlight for a change

Yes, everyone and their pet rock are talking about Pokémon GO! The augmented reality (AR) game developed by Niantic has taken the world by storm.

Even though its availability is still limited to the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, unofficial (non-store) copies popped up online, allowing anyone with a VPN to install and play the game wherever in the world they are.

Pokémon GO allows players to capture, battle, train, and trade virtual Pokémon who appear throughout the real world. This means that you actually have to get out of your house to go find Pokémon, which means actually stepping into the sunlight.

Common sense

What’s even more hilarious is that people continue to be glued to their phones in search of Pokémon, forgetting basic rules like looking both ways before crossing a road or entering buildings they should not be in.

Even though the world is excited for this game, the roll out process has been slow as the developers have been scaling up their server resources to deal with the gargantuan demand.
