Graphics card prices may dip significantly in response to reduced demand

As cryptominers shift their attention away from GPUs, graphics cards prices may plummet as shipments are expected drop by as much as 40% in the upcoming weeks.

With the much anticipated launch of Ethereum-specific mining machines coming to the market later this year, miners have started steering away from future GPU purchases, with some canceling further orders entirely.

Brands like Gigabyte Technology, Micro-Star International (MSI), and TUL are expected to reduce prices in response to the anticipated reduction in GPUs being shipped out. They however are hoping that demand may increase, riding on the hope that cryptocurrency prices pick up later into the year, which would result in some increased demand for their GPUs.

In the mean time, this is great news for gamers as GPUs could finally revert back to being reasonably priced, making it cheaper to build monster gaming rigs.
