Multiple sources, including the Wall Street Journal are confirming that Apple will announce its next iPhone lineup on September 12th.

By line up, we mean three new iPhone models; the iPhone 7S, 7S Plus, and iPhone 8. The final names are yet to be confirmed though. It is expected that the announcement will be made at the Steve Jobs Auditorium at its new campus in Cupurtino, California. There is still a big if as to whether the auditorium will be ready in time though.

Some of the major improvements in the next line up include OLED screens, facial unlocking recognition, an almost bezel-less screen, and maybe wireless charging. The iPhone 8 in particular will also feature a slimmer profile similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

It’s also expected that the starting price of the iPhone 8 could be $999, so get your wallet ready!

The iPhones are expected to go on sale on September 22nd.

The event will also be the launch of the 4th generation Apple TV, a new Apple Watch, with more HomePod information being divulged.
