Nintendo announced today that the SNES Classic will launch September 29th 2017 for $79.99.  So far there have been 21 titles confirmed for the console, including the never before released Star Fox 2.

The full list includes:

  • Super Mario World
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • F-Zero
  • Super Metroid
  • Street Fighter II Turbo
  • Super Punch-Out
  • Castlevania IV
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • Mega Man X
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Final Fantasy III
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Contra III
  • Secret of Mana
  • Earthbound
  • Super Ghouls & Ghosts

Furthermore, the SNES Classic will come with HDMI input for HD gaming, like the NES Classic.  However, the SNES Classic controllers will be 2 feet longer than that of its predecessor.

Like the NES Classic, supplies will be limited, so start looking for that pre-order option as soon as possible to avoid having to pay much higher than retail price.

It is uncertain whether this is the final list of titles for the mini console.  If you’re bummed out that your favorite is not on the list, take some solace in the fact that the NES Classic included 60 titles, so we may see more games announced as we approach the launch date.
