The iPhone 8 may be Apple’s most expensive iPhone to date.

As more and more leaks surface, it appears that the iPhone 8 will feature an OLED-based edge-to-edge display with 3D facial recognition, vertically configured dual camera lenses, and an all glass body.

According to a report from the Economic Daily News, the top of the line 256GB option may sell around US $1,070 while the lower storage models starting at around $870 due to the OLED screen costing a bit more than the company expected (experts say by as much as 50% more per screen).

Other analysts expect the iPhone 8 128GB model to sell for $1,000 with the 256GB equivalent selling at an all time high of $1,099.

They say that the increase cost seems justified because of the technologically advanced features like 3D facial recognition, the new A11 processor, and dual lens camera.

Premium phone prices have hit an all time high, with the Pixel XL 128GB selling for $869 when it was first launched, and the Samsung S8 Plus 64GB model selling for around $840 (currently going for over $1,100 depending on which model and where you buy it).
