Reuters news agency is confirming that WhatsApp’s servers are currently experiencing technical difficulties. As a result, service has been knocked out globally, resulting in many group admins being temporarily out of a job.

It’s unclear as to what is exactly wrong, but their technical team is already hard at work trying to restore service.

With more than 1 billion users globally, the outage has definitely spread waves across the internet, resulting in mass virtual riots and pandemonium. Alright, that part really didn’t happen, but at least we have a non-stop flow of memes to enjoy until the service is brought back online.
